01 / START WITH THE MEASUREMENTS
A sheet count starts with the walls.
For white, coloured and BIOMAX PVC wall sheets, add together the lengths of the walls you plan to cover. Divide that total perimeter by 1.2 metres, then round up to a whole sheet.
The number is a starting estimate. Wall height, cuts, corners and the planned layout can change what you ultimately need.

Thickness is only one part of the choice. Look at the condition of the surface you are covering before deciding which sheet to use.

GOOD / FLAT & SOUND

Start with 1.5mm or 2mm
A flat, clean wall gives you a wider choice. Consider 1.5mm for a lower-cost option or 2mm for a more substantial sheet.
OK / MINOR IMPERFECTIONS

Consider 2mm or 2.5mm
Where the surface is sound but less even, a thicker sheet may give a more robust finish. Check preparation and fitting requirements too.
POOR / DAMAGED OR UNEVEN

Assess the wall before choosing
Damaged or rough surfaces may need repair or further preparation. A thicker 3mm sheet or board-style option may be worth discussing with the supplier or installer.
A thicker sheet can also be chosen for a sound wall when the project calls for a more robust finish.

Wall height
Check that the sheet length covers the height you need. Taller walls may need a longer sheet or a planned horizontal join.
Layout & cuts
Map corners, openings and awkward sections. The perimeter estimate does not include extra sheets for cuts or waste.
Edges & joins
Identify where sheets meet and where exposed edges need finishing. The right trims help create a neat result.
Surface preparation
Check the substrate and the product’s fitting guidance. You will also need suitable fixing and sealing products for the chosen system.
05 / MATERIAL CHOICE

In a commercial kitchen, the best material can vary across the room. PVC may be considered for general wall coverage, while stainless steel is another option to assess around splashbacks, cooker areas and demanding work zones.
